Let’s meet up at the Mount Vernon Riverfront Sculpture, https://maps.app.goo.gl/tCCEBNm2cG7Sm9EQA (District Brewing, Porterhouse, Taste of India area) and ride a loop west then north past the airport and circle back again via River Bend Road.

Not much elevation, some roads are quiet, some not so much.

Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49614529 download the route to your phone &/or bike computer.

See link below for a printable version.

Let’s be mindful that the actions in our small group. Our riding reflects on all the bike riders in our community. Play it safe and courteously. Hand signals are good to use. Look out for each other.

All paces welcome. Faster riders feel free to pull ahead. Less fast riders buddy up and chit chat. Let’s not leave anyone alone nor behind. In other words, let’s look out for each other. If you want to move through and not wait for others, please text me (360 708-6862) when you are off the ride. Please identify who you are (you might not be in my contacts) and that you are safely done with the ride. I’d like these Tuesday rides to be enjoyable for all riders, regardless of pace. That being said, I’d also like to know that all riders have returned safely.

If you have a smart phone you can switch on Location sharing via Google Maps or Apple Maps. It’s possible to share your location for a specified period of time, for example 2-3 hours, roughly the duration of a ride. You also have a choice of who can see your location. Pick a ride buddy or two, it doesn't have to be me much less the entire group.

Activating Location sharing will allow someone else to know where you are in the event of a problem. If this sounds like something you’d like to try, load either Google or Apple maps onto your device before Tuesday’s meet up.

Tired of pizza for our post ride calories? Two other eateries mentioned above.

Sign up for this ride online. We are required to have a Waiver of Liability for each rider on our club rides. Signing up online will bring you to the Wavier of Liability form. Follow the prompts and presto, you’re legal and we don’t get haranguing letters from our insurance provider. Win win.

If you like what you’ve experienced, please join the club to continue riding with us. At $30/yr, it’s very good value for money. Included is all the fresh air you can breathe :)

cheers, John
