About this event

Join us for an opportunity to ride the route of a former Northern Pacific Railway spur, built in 1901 to transport ore from mines in the area. The trail is named after the "Whitehorse Express," the historic name of the railway. We will start the ride from the Trafton Barn and ride to Oso Memorial and return. We will spend some time taking in the Memorial before starting our ride back.

Our end of ride food stop will be at the Conway’s Pub & Eatery, 18611 Main Street, Conway, WA 98238, https://conwayspubandeatery.com

This will be an easy to social pace (10-13 mph) ride. The trail offers a little of everything; crushed rock/gravel, pavement and grass. Please make sure you have a good flat repair kit/tube with you. There are no services on the trail so plan for enough water and munchies to meet your needs.

Ride participation will be limited to 10. There is only room for 6-8 cars at the Barn trailhead so carpooling is strongly encouraged. The start of the ride cuts through an active farm/private property so we need to be good cycle ambassadors.

This is a mixed-use trail so let’s play it safe and watch out for each other and ourselves. Watch for motor vehicles and distracted drivers. Sign up for this ride online. We are required to have a Waiver of Liability for each rider on our club rides - follow the prompts to complete registration.
